Who We Are

The directors of Desert Harbor are Raymond and Wesley Jo Linam. Raymond offers the service of life coaching, while Wesley offers the service of spiritual direction. Stella Grace, the directors’ adorable two year old daughter, contributes toddler humor and entertainment.

Raymond attended St. John’s College Graduate Institute receiving an MA in Classical Studies. He holds a BA from St. Stephens University in History and Philosophy. Raymond is a certified professional life coach, deeply passionate about helping others live more authentic, purposeful lives. Raymond’s interest in design and natural building led him to personally construct the physical spaces of Desert Harbor.

Wesley attended The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology receiving a MA in Counseling Psychology, as well as completing a Spiritual Direction Certificate program. Wesley graduated from Tulane University with a BS in Computer Science. Wesley is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of New Mexico, practicing part time at Family Therapy of Albuquerque. She is affiliated with Spiritual Directors International and is compelled to help others find a deeper sense of communion with God.

Like many notable ideas, the concept for Desert Harbor came from the directors’ own sense of need for something they could not find but deeply desired.

The directors sought a place—beautiful in accommodation and setting—to retreat, to pray, to think, to center. A place designed for maximum interaction with nature and its seasons. But further, a place which excels in hospitality and exists for the purpose of interacting with people seeking personal retreat. At times they wanted the place...at times someone to interact with...a person who could skillfully listen and offer helpful questions and alternative ways of thinking through the challenges of life.

Desert Harbor takes great joy in offering this place to others who are seeking rest, clarity, grounded-ness, beauty, life and stillness. Not only do we offer this space, but through the services of life coaching and spiritual direction, we also offer confidential, non-judgmental companionship to support your spiritual, emotional and relational needs.
